One of the greatest empowerments of the local church is when believers encourage and strengthen one another. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
Here at Lord of Hosts Church we have developed a special ministry for this purpose that we call 242 Discipleship Groups. The 242 Discipleship Groups are based on the Scripture found in Acts 2:42. It says, "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." In this verse we find a pattern in the early church which we believe to be a pattern that will bring Christians into a greater level of growth and personal discipleship.

242 Discipleship Groups are a life-changing ministry, for ages 18 and older, that Pastor Kunneman has developed in effort to multiply his vision, heart and ministry into the people. 242 Discipleship Groups meet in different homes and they are Pastor's way of extending his arms of ministry to you personally and giving you the personal tools and impartation to grow in God's plan for your life. They are a smaller group of people (usually about 12-18), meant to increase the people’s ability to grow in a powerful way.
