Promise Kids

The Promise Kids Ministry ministers to all of our young children from ages 0-Kindergarten.  Promise Kids is open for all Sunday Services and Wednesday evening activities located at the church.  At Promise Kids, children are cared for and taught the fundamental principles of Christianity in a safe and secure environment.
First time visitors:  We have a special check-in station just for you.  This allows us to obtain important information about your child(ren) that will help us be most effective in our ministry.  We will also provide you with a Promise Kids Brochure that will get you acquainted with basic information about Promise Kids and allow us to extend a small token of appreciation for your child’s visit.
Other Activities:  Promise Kids Ministry is proud to minister to our kids for a special week each summer at Vacation Bible School and at our Candy Cane Festival each December.

Jesus Super Troop

Jesus Super Troop is our ministry to kids from the ages of First Grade to 11 years old (or Fifth Grade) helping to raise up kids with a mission to change their world for God!  Super Troop services are held during Sunday Morning Services in the Vertical Youth Center.  The Super Troop ministry opens 30 minutes prior to the start of service and kids may come to the Youth Center where they will be met by one of the Super Troop teachers.  During Jesus Super Troop, kids will enjoy great Bible lessons, stories, games, praise and worship, puppets, prizes and skits.
Other Activities:  Jesus Super Troop has special activities the first Wednesday of each month such as game night, talent show, and other fun activities.  Super Troop also participates in the annual Candy Cane Festival each December.

Prayer Ministry

We consider it an honor and a privilege to stand in agreement with those who entrust us with their prayer requests.  Here at Lord of Hosts Church we have what is called the “A.S.K. Prayer Ministry.”  Ask, Seek, and Knock:  Matthew 7:7, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.  This prayer ministry is dedicated to gather in prayer several times throughout the day with different groups who Ask, Seek, and Knock in prayer and expect to see God move and answer prayers.   Members of LOH Church can get involved by calling the office or stopping by the Visitor Counter.  We believe that as we link our faith with yours, your needs will be met and the power of God will touch your life in a supernatural way.

Vertical 12:1 Youth

Our heart is to help every youth realize their potential to be an overcomer and on fire for God in some very controversial times.  We want to raise up a generation of teenagers that love the Lord and carry a bold testimony.  Teens will also enjoy the social environment of other on-fire youth. They will find themselves in a setting where the “in-thing” is to be totally radical for God!
Vertical 12:1 Youth ministers to teens from between the 6th and 12th grades.  The youth group meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the Vertical Youth Center.  There is no Vertical 12:1 Youth on the last Wednesday every month.
Other Activities:  Vertical 12:1 Youth also schedules various activities including movie nights, pizza parties, overnighters, and ministry related trips/concerts.

Women's Ministry

 ·        Women’s Conference:   Every year Pastor Brenda Kunneman hosts the WOMAN YOU ARE ANOINTED CONFERENCE in the month of April.  This conference brings in nationally known speakers and musicians/singers such as Rev. Marilyn Hickey, Joni Lamb and the Daystar Singers, Wendy Treat, Martha Munizzi, and many more.  Each year you can expect an anointed weekend of workshops and general sessions as well as other activities as scheduled.  Be sure to check out the Events page for updated conference information!

Pastoral Care

This ministry of pastoral care provides care for our members and is an important part of Lord of Hosts Church. As a pastoral staff, we believe that we have a God-given responsibility to minister to the members of this congregation whom the Lord has entrusted into our care. The pastoral care ministry is described below. Prayerfully, we are always considering ways to increase the effectiveness of our ministry, so regular updates are made. Current updates are usually available at the visitor information counter. However, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.
We currently provide care in the following primary areas:
Baby/Child Dedications
Spiritual Guidance/Counseling
Homegoing/Memorial Services
Hospital Visit Requests/Prayer for the Sick
Care For New Mothers
Ministry For Special Needs/Long Term Care

242 Home Groups

This life-changing ministry, for ages 18 and older, meets in designated homes on the last Wednesday of every month.  One of the greatest empowerments of the local church is when believers encourage and strengthen one another.  Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."  Here at Lord of Hosts Church we have developed a special ministry for this purpose that we call 242 Home Groups.
The 242 Home Groups are based on the Scripture found in Acts 2:42.  It says, "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."   In this verse we find a pattern in the early church which we believe to be a pattern that will bring Christians into a greater level of growth and personal relationship as a member of the body of Christ.

College & Career

College & Career is a ministry, for anyone 18-35, where we connect our spiritual walk to our every-day lives. Our heart is to empower and raise up young adults to walk in their divine purpose. We believe that in an atmosphere of spiritual mentoring and fun fellowship, young adults will be able to go into any environment and situation and be confident in who they are and who God has called them to be.

The Break Room

In The Break Room, we are gathering “around the table” from 7:00-8:00PM in a more intimate, casual coffee-house style setting as we break open God’s Word together!

The Break Room will be followed by 15 minutes of fellowship and refreshments in the Connect Café!  Of course staying for the fellowship is optional, but pastors would love the opportunity to greet you during this time!   We believe The Break Room will be just the spiritual “java” you need to finish your week in greater victory!
